What is Doug Tech Inc?
Doug Tech Inc. is the brainchild of Douglas Axelrod. While not an official incorporation, the output of this creative machine rivals that of Fortune 500 companies. It all started in 1985 when DTI was founded with the tagline "For all your Technical Needs". Doug Tech Inc. has seen about 7 or 8 logos in its day, but none of them exist anymore. This being DTI's first exposure to the world, we want to make a good impression, so we are logo hunting for the moment.
DTI's first internet project was the ill fated dti1985.tripod.com. We were kicked off the server for generating more traffic than tripod itself. In need of a less jealous server, DTI struggled to reach amicable agreements. The big break came when DTI was enlisted to design and maintain BeatUsOff.com. BeatUsOff is a UMW Cross Country and Track website with silly stats and plenty of experimentation. After it was discovered in early 2006 to be a flop, servers again agreed to host DTI's websites.
Dreamhost.com took up the challenge and a couple of bucks later, here we are. DougTechInc.com is now a testing domain full of the latest projects. The biggest ones go on to occupy their own domain (eg Rate-All.com). For now, they sit in wait of your visit.
On the positive side, DougTechInc.com and all its associated pages are ad free. Ad revenue couldn't keep DTI afloat anyways, so why bother the visitor. Feel free to explore all the links provided on the front page, and if you'd like to suggest a project, contact us!
